Agritourism Policies

Warning to Visitors

THERE ARE INHERENT RISKS IN PARTICIPATING IN ACTIVITIES ON WORKING FARMS. Your visit to our farm may involve:

  1. Walking on the grounds, in the fields, and on pathways, which can pose the risk of tripping or falling due to surface and sub-surface conditions of the land, vegetation, or water, including uneven or slippery surfaces, ice or snow, rocks, fallen branches, and/or other obstructions or hidden objects;
  2. Exposure to farm implements that have been provided for visitors’ use to harvest crops;
  3. Exposure to other farming equipment used on the farm by farm personnel;
  4. Exposure to farm animals, wild animals, and insects, which may cause injury or disease;
  5. The lack of care of other visitors, causing injury or property damage to others.

Section 18-303(f) of the New York State General Obligations Law provides that owners and operators complying with the provisions of Section 18- 303(d) of the Safety in Agricultural Tourism Act shall not be liable for visitors’ injury, death, damage, or loss. The law requires this posting.

Responsibilities of Visitors & Rules of Conduct

While visiting the farm, Section 18-303(2) of the New York State General Obligations Law requires visitors to:

  1. Exercise reasonable care regarding the disclosed risks of the agricultural activity;
  2. Reasonably comply with posted way-finding signs;
  3. Reasonably remain in areas designated for the activity;
  4. Reasonably follow all verbal or written and conspicuously posted rules of conduct; and
  5. Not willfully remove, deface, alter, or otherwise damage signage, warning devices, implements, or other safety devices.

Our farm rules of conduct are as follows:

  1. Littering is not allowed;
  2. Smoking is not allowed within 100 feet of buildings or equipment;
  3. Pets are not allowed on the premises under any circumstances;
  4. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times;
  5. Climbing on, over, or through fencing and/or gates is not allowed;
  6. Petting and/or feeding of animals is allowed only in the presence of an owner with his/her express permission;
  7. Hands must be washed before and after any animal interactions.

Right to Refund

If you are unprepared or unwilling to participate in the agricultural tourism activity due to its inherent risks or the duties described in the Responsibilities of Visitors & Rules of Conduct, you should not participate in the activities offered on this farm; and you are entitled to a full refund of your unused admission price, if applicable.

We want you to thoroughly enjoy your visit to our farm, so please take a minute to review the following information and policies. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Adverse Weather / Rain

 Safety is our number one priority, and we adjust our hours, opening, and closing times accordingly for weather events. If there is a chance of rain, or it is missing, we will be open. If it is raining contact us or check the Facebook feed on our website. If it is only wet, we will be open, but please take this into consideration, when planning to visit us and dress accordingly. 

Conduct & Child Supervision

Child Supervision - Children should be supervised by parents at all attractions at all times. Any child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to enter the farm. Parents can not drop off children under the age of 18 and leave. Failure to comply will result in failure in entry to the farm. 


Profanity - this is a family atmosphere, please be mindful in use of language and any excessive use of profanity may result  in ejection from the premise. 

Prohibited Items

Alcoholic Beverages - NO alcoholic beverages are permitted at all, ever.

Smoking or Tobacco Use - NO smoking or tobacco use on premises. If guests are caught smoking marijuana on the premise, it will result in ejection from the farm without refund. We want to maintain a clean farm with clean fresh air for all our guests to enjoy. We thank you in advance for your cooperation with this policy.

Food & Drink

For your convenience, outside food and drink (other than alcohol) is allowed. Food available for purchasing on site include hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, water, lemonade and coffee. Food will stopped being served 30 minutes before closing.  

Pets

Pets are not permitted on the farm. 

Dress Code

To maintain a family type atmosphere, we require that our guests be dressed in accordance with the standards set forth here. We are a family farm - please dress accordingly. Clothing that might offend other guests is not allowed (within certain guidelines). Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. You are visiting a real farm. We recommend wearing clothing comfortable for walking or hiking. Use hats for sun protection. Pay particular attention to footwear. Chances are good you’ll get a bit dirty so choose your shoes wisely.

Check-In Time

The last check-in to the farm is 1 hour before closing.
